Job Description/Summary: 

The Senior Cloud Platform Engineer reports to a Senior Manager of Cloud Engineering Services and performs a critical role delivering the core capabilities and features of a strategic cloud platform within the FRFS’s Cloud Platform Team.

You will help deliver platform enablers including the development and operationalization of reusable cloud platform components to support Financial Services users and partners.

The Platform Cloud Engineer role will also encompass developing and deploying self-service tools that enable Application Delivery Teams within the Federal Reserve Financial Services to build applications on the cloud platform.

If located in Richmond, this will be a hybrid on-site role.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:


* Platform Lifecycle
+ Design, engineer, implement, and configure cloud platform services to support overall enterprise cloud-based solutions and reenforcing best practices.
+ Develop cloud-based solutions for common platform needs (e.g.

logging, monitoring, alerting, backup, encryption, tooling, etc.) across all layers of the platform and supporting services.
+ Work with business and technology partners to define scope of the data management platform integrations.
+ Partner with Information Security representatives to implement security configurations and controls.
+ Support and refine the utilization strategy for the platform and enhance its overall architecture, security, performance, and financial aspects. 
+ Contribute to platform, product, and architectural roadmaps.
+ Design Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment pipelines to enable code releases and continuous monitoring to resolve issues


* Platform Administration
+ Perform development of common platform components and advanced configuration activities in the cloud platform.
