Job Description:
Job Family Definition:
Directs, manages, leads, and coordinates global requirements for execution to support overall stability, reliability, and sustainability of operations for technical infrastructure supporting existing and new capacity for data center workloads.
Applies innovative process design, engineering, automation, monitoring, and documentation that provides well-orchestrated operational disciplines for reliable data center and hardware operations which support business objectives.
Uses information, data, and analytics to support decision making for maintaining a reliable, scalable and sustainable operational ecosystem for traditional, hybrid and future cloud data center environments.
Management Level Definition:
Applies expert data center and technical infrastructure expertise and experience to solve complex business and technical issues within established and evolving processes, policies, and guidelines.
Has responsibility globally for developing and maintaining data center processes, policies, guidelines, operational automation, and documentation for HPE data centers.
Acts as a key advisor to senior management on the development of overall global policies to support long-term goals of the organization.
Plans, manages, monitors and reports on operational activities and data center performance deliverables.
Recruits and supports development of direct staff members.
Position reports to Director of Data Center and Hardware Strategy.
Additional Guidance/Criteria: Manages and controls activities within a sub-region or Region; Typically manages 10 or more direct reports.
Span of Control guidelines may differ from these numbers.
Responsibilities:
* Manages activities of individual contributors (supervisors/junior managers) process/automation engineers, technical writers and program management responsibilities with parallel and concurrent projects.
* Applies mastery level subject matter knowledge and alternative resourcing plans to manage staff activities in solving most complex technical issues.
