Mailroom Specialist (Kansas City, KS)

Description & Requirements

Maximus is excited to welcome an enthusiastic Mailroom Specialist to our team for our Kansas City Office Location.

This role is responsible for managing incoming and outgoing mail, scanning documents, and providing support to our clients in the Child Support process.

Position Details:


* Type: Onsite, Full-Time


* Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Central Time


* Location: Kansas City, KS (ideal candidates should live in or near this area)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Receive, open, sort, and prepare incoming and outgoing mail, faxes, and other documents.

- Create batches to prepare for transition to document scanning.

- Image documents using scanners.

- Build electronic batches sent in via fax for data entry.

- Select the appropriate client/account to associate documents.

- Link documents to the correct account records.

- Determine the best path for document problem resolution (DPR).

- Storage of documents in correct order/location.

- Purge batches after retention period.

Minimum Requirements

- High School diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
- 0-2 years of experience required.

- Basic computer skills
- Strong organizational skills

- Ability to multi-task

- Works well under pressure
