Maximus is seeking a Software Architect to provide expertise to a federal client in support of their mission critical systems in defense of our Homeland.

We are seeking a Software Architect to provide advanced expertise in designing and implementing scalable, reliable, and high-performance software solutions for a federal client's critical operations.

As a key leader on our team, the Software Architect will play a pivotal role in shaping the architectural vision and guiding the development of complex software systems.

Specific Responsibilities:



* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements and translate business needs into software architecture solutions.


* Design and lead the development of high-level and detailed software architectures, ensuring scalability, modularity, and maintainability.


* Evaluate and select appropriate technologies, frameworks, and tools to achieve the desired software architecture goals.


* Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams, ensuring adherence to architectural best practices and design patterns.


* Lead code reviews, architectural reviews, and ensure the implementation aligns with the architectural vision.


* Define and enforce coding standards, practices, and guidelines to ensure consistency and quality across software projects.


* Collaborate with stakeholders to understand system requirements and constraints, and design solutions that meet both technical and business needs.


* Stay updated with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices, and recommend their incorporation into software designs.


* Contribute to the continuous improvement of software development processes, methodologies, and practices.

Required Skills:



* Active Secret clearance is required.


* This position requires a High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent


* Due to agency and contract requirements, candidates must be U.S.

citizens with no dual citizenship.


* This contract supports systems that require 24x7x365 uptime.

Candidates must be willing and able to meet recall requirements, including participation in a rotational on-call schedule.


* Telework: Candidates must reside within a commutable distance and be available to work onsite at the customer's discretion.

This includes being on-site during the transition period.

Must be based around Colorado Springs, CO.


* 7 years of experience as a software architect or similar experience


* Experience in some or all of the following: Cloud technologies, microservices architecture, containerization
