Hospital Supply Technician - Respiratory Therapy

ABOUT THE POSITION

The County of Riverside's Respiratory Therapy Unit at Riverside University Health System's Medical Center seeks a Hospital Supply Technician to join our team in Moreno Valley.

This position will be responsible for cleaning and disinfecting equipment, managing respiratory supply inventory, testing equipment, and ensuring compliance with infection control and regulatory standards.

Additional duties include data input, minor equipment repairs, and sterilizing medical instruments.

Schedule:
5/8 - Day Shift including alternating weekend shifts ( subject to change based on department needs)

EXAMPLES OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES
• Receives septic supplies and equipment from medical units; cleans, packages and sterilizes reusable needles and syringes, catheter instruments, surgical instruments, and other supplies.
• Disassembles, cleans, sterilizes, reassembles, tests, and performs minor maintenance and repairs on medical equipment; assembles, wraps and sterilizes medical packs and trays.
• Delivers sterile and non-sterile supplies and equipment throughout the hospital; inspects, sorts, folds and assembles linen packs for individual patient units and operating room.
• Maintains aseptic working area to avoid contamination of sterile supplies and equipment; takes inventory and orders supplies as necessary.
• Restocks shelves and carts and replaces disposable supplies; may perform simple record keeping.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Graduation from high school, possession of a Certificate of Proficiency issued by the California State Board of Education, or attainment of a satisfactory score on a G.E.D.

examination.
