Portfolio Analyst

Salary Range: $75,000 - $85,000

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY:

The Portfolio Analyst’s primary responsibilities include all aspects of portfolio analysis related to assigned portfolio loans.

Additional responsibilities will include: Detailed independent analysis of financial statements, detailed collateral analysis, detailed analysis of debt service and covenant compliance, review of credit risk rating, borrower and guarantor analysis, assessment of lending risks, clearly identifying offsetting mitigants and summarizing recommendations.  The loan portfolio shall consist of all types of commercial credit facilities including, but not limited to: lines of credit, term notes, permanent owner occupied mortgages, commercial construction and permanent investment CRE mortgages.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:


* Work closely with the Commercial Banking team in managing the Annual Credit Review process, including preparation of spreads and completing annual reviews as assigned.


* Track and report using nCino the required financial information per the terms of the Borrower’s approval(s).


* Report progress on collection of financial information to the Commercial Banking management team.


* Attend the Bank’s weekly Loan Committee meetings and other credit related meetings as scheduled.


* Track and then review borrowing base certificates and or covenants to verify the Borrower is within compliance.


* Review and evaluate Borrower financial information using independent judgment to detect and identify potential problem loans early.


* Use nCino for the ongoing monitoring and reporting on the Bank’s portfolio.


* Keep up to date on Bank Policies, Laws and Regulations that govern commercial lending.


* Active participation and demonstrating skills and abilities in the GRB Experience.


* Other duties as assigned.

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s degree in a business-related discipline plus a minimum of 3 years related experience within financial services or the commercial banking industry including a minimum of 1-year commercial credit experience, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.


* Financial statement analysis and credit training required.


* Thorough knowledge of CRA and Compliance Policies
