What are we looking for?

The Metallurgist Laboratory Technician is responsible for materials testing processes, handling and preparing samples, and providing written analysis in a laboratory environment.

The ideal candidate for the Metallurgist Laboratory Technician role will have a desire to work in learning environment, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work independently and/or in a team setting.

Shift/Schedule: Standard office hours, Monday-Friday

What you'll do:


* The Metallurgist Laboratory Technician will report to the Laboratory Manager and is responsible for supporting lab operations on a day to day basis


* Handles the ICP (Inductively Coupled Plasma) scan


* Completes pulverization sample preparation


* Performs acid digestions and analysis


* Conducts bottle roll testing on samples


* Utilizes column testing techniques


* Documents results of testing and investigations in technical reports


* Other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements & Qualifications:


* Bachelors in Metallurgy, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering (required)


* 1+ years of experience (preferred)


* Basic understanding of leaching and flotation (required)


* Attention to detail


* Strong problem-solving and communication skills


* Technical writing


* Analytical thinking skills
