Co-op Spring/Summer 2025 - Mechanical Engineer

Position Summary:

Chentronics is in search of an enthusiastic engineering student who has an interest in real-world mechanical engineering design and implementation.

Working with a mentor, you will be a part of an engineering design team working in our ignition and flame detection product lines.

What You Will Do



* Assist with the design and implementation of electro-mechanical designs on products such as igniters, output harnesses, and exciters.


* Assist with the development of new production processes, systems, and tools.


* Work with a diverse group of engineers in all phases of product development and production support including concept, design, test, verify, document, and support.


* Create and update CAD models and engineering drawings.


* Create and implement engineering test plans.


* Preparation of typical production documentation (part drawings, assembly prints, test procedures, etc.).


* Participate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)



* Enrolled in an accredited degree program in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline


* Sophomore year or greater completed


* Ambitious, self-starting, and motivated attitude; willingness to learn, ability to manage time

What Will Put You Ahead



* Proficiency in 3D CAD software


* Create and update CAD models and engineering drawings.


* Good written and verbal communication skill
