AHF Products has a job opportunity for a Large Press Operator/Jr.

Mechanic to be located in Crossville, TN.

 No travel required.

JOB DUTIES:


* Maintain fillers, presses, conveyers, and tables and dryers.   


* Perform all color and die changes based on production needs.   


* Maintain inventory of upper and lower punches, die frames and molds, and filler grids.   


* Rebuild molds as necessary.   


* Schedule Preventative Maintenance when due.   


* Lift and handle equipment up to 8,000 pounds with fork truck, and 120 lbs.

* Bleed and charge isostatic punches.   


* Adjust presses and fillers to facilitate an order after performing a die box change.   


* Operate a press if necessary.   


* Place sample tile in kiln to measure tile size after fired.   


* Complete 5S and TPMs and all other necessary paperwork.     


* Operate a forklift.   


* Use Gemba board to effectively communicate issues.   


* Communicate effectively with co-workers, Supervisors, and other Departments as needed.   


* Work on Kaizen for continuous improvement.   


* Follow safety guidelines and company standards, using Personal Protection Equipment.   


* Adhere to company policies and procedures.   


* Maintain housekeeping standards to ensure a clean and safe workplace.   


* Perform any other duties that may be required or assigned.   

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:


* Must be at least 18 years of age   


* Certification in mechanics or equivalent experience   


* Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail   


* Strong problem-solving skills   


* Positive attitude and strong work ethic   


* Good interpersonal skills in dealing with employees   


* Must be able to work overtime as necessary and other shifts as necessary, including weekends   


* Must pass a mandatory pre-employment drug test, physical, and criminal background check   

PHYSCIAL DEMANDS:


* Frequently climbing, bending, standing, walking at a brisk pace 8+ hours a day, squatting, reaching, pushing and pulling   


* Occasionally lifting 100 pounds, either alone or with the assistance of another employee, in conformity with lifting techniques detailed in safety policies and training materials.    


* Occasionally lifting parts up to 450 pounds using prescribed procedure and process.   


* Frequent dexterity with hands for use of tools   


* Frequently vision must be sufficient to see tools and equipment clearly   


* Frequently hearing with the use of ear protection
