As an Insurance Data Analytics Intern, you will be responsible for helping the team to rapidly deliver analytical solutions to functional areas of the business.

You will collaborate with functional business domain experts, as well as other analytics practitioners (Data Scientists, Data Engineers, Platform Engineers, Solution Developers, etc.) to execute and deliver working solutions to end users.

Working as a member of our data analytical platform you will use and be trained on data science and machine learning techniques to help drive deep data analysis and uncover insights that will enable the business to make strong and strategic decisions delivering actionable business value.

The Insurance Data Analytics Intern will play a crucial role in leveraging Microsoft Azure Synapse and Power BI to analyze and extract insights from various data sources within the insurance company.  

 

Key Accountabilities/Deliverables:



* Data Extraction and Transformation: Collaborate with IT teams to extract and preprocess data from diverse sources, ensuring data quality and integrity. 



* Data Analysis: Utilize Microsoft Azure Synapse to perform data analytics, create data models, and generate actionable insights. 



* Report Development: Design and develop interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI to visualize key performance indicators (KPIs) and trends. 



* Collaboration: Work closely with underwriting, claims, actuarial, and finance teams to understand their data needs and provide analytical support. 



* Data Visualization: Create visually compelling and easy-to-understand data visualizations to aid in decision-making processes. 



* Documentation: Document data analytics processes, methodologies, and findings for future reference

Technical Knowledge and Understanding:



* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 



* Familiarity with Microsoft Azure Synapse and Power BI is a plus. 



* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
