About the Role:
The position is required to lead and direct the Power Plant Engineering and Maintenance organization.
This role will work with Projects, Asset Management and Reliability Excellence (REX) fronts to develop the engineering and maintenance plan, strategy and subsequent execution at our Warrick Operations Power Plant.
Responsibilities:
* Lead the performance of Maintenance, Engineering and Reliability areas, including but not limited to Reliability Excellence (REX), Electrical and Mechanical functions.
* Develop a partnership with peers (the asset owners) that fosters a productive open & honest working environment that promotes continuous improvement between production & maintenance.
* Optimize the planning and scheduling process that drives continuous improvement in the key Reliability Excellence (REX) process indicators.
* Direct, coach, lead, and empower teams to achieve goals and objectives in a safe and timely manner, while continuously striving to improve effectiveness.
* Create and implement improvements to increase the mean time between failure of equipment to reduce costs and increase production via the Degrees of Implementation management system.
* Drive a continuous improvement approach by listening for new ideas, looking for new technologies and approaches to achieve cost reduction and productivity improvement.
* Build, track, and review annual OPEX & CAPEX budgets.
* Facilitate technical Root Cause Analyses for asset failures.
* Work as an integral member of the Maintenance & Engineering team to lead a comprehensive predictive and preventative maintenance program while sustainably minimizing repair & maintenance cost.
* Build, drive, and track Key Process Indicators (KPIs) to monitor maintenance performance.
* Maintain and implement planning for Capital projects both in the short term and long term.
What you can bring to the role:
* 5+ years’ experience maintenance, engineering and/or reliability in a manufacturing or process industry.
* Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent preferred.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to establish relationships at all levels of the organization.
* Demonstrated people leadership experience with ability to encourage and champion a diverse workforce.
* Experience in project management working to cost and schedule metrics.
