What do you get to do in this position?



* Support the implementation of Manufacturing Execution System for the production area/lines (parametrization and setup for customer products).


* Actively participate in design reviews for processes requiring MES deployment while giving on data collection and retention at each step


* Lead develop and integration of system design software for Manufacturing Execution Systems


* Define equipment required to achieve requirements of equipment specification


* Plan and provide detailed training on system design, maintenance and troubleshooting to various customer skills to maintain system uptime


* Support of existing system designs and production issues will be required both locally and at various sites globally


* Drive definition of facility network, firewalls, cybersecurity and VPN requirements to support MES systems


* Troubleshoot non-typical machine failures using software and electrical knowledge


* Maintains up to date knowledge of technologies and utilizes this knowledge to specify and develop innovative solutions


* Utilize continuous improvement methodology to improve internal industrial processes


* Continuous improvement and process support including interaction between MES and control layer (Smart screwdrives, vision systems, wired sensors)


* Develop technical knowledge on manufacturing equipment and process automation systems

Qualifications

This job might be for you if:


* Degree or Master in Electrical/Electronic/Informatics/Automation Engineering or equivalent


* 3+ years of experience in a role in Manufacturing IT, Engineering, and/or Automation


* Understanding of ERP, SAP systems and interfaces to MIS/MES systems

Skills:


* Strong command of system design software (LabVIEW, TestStand)


* Basic knowledge of relational databases (Oracle, SQL or MySQL)


* Extensive experience with OPC Unified Architecture platform


* Strong knowledge of communication protocols (Modbus, Ethernet, CAN, Profibus)


* Strong PLC programming (Unity, ProWORX, SoMachine)


* Basic configuring and designing of HMI systems


* Familiar with vision systems (Cognex, Keyence)


* Electronic circuit knowledge: digital, analog, power and high voltage
