Procurement Analyst

Your Job

Georgia-Pacifi c LLC is looking for a Procurement Analyst to join our Procurement Analytics team within our Strategic Sourcing & Procurement (SS&P) organization.

A Procurement Analyst will be responsible for supporting, vetting, and generating enterprise-wid e strategic initiatives.

This work will involve new initiative assessments, rapid analysis & prototyping, and support of the end-to-end project lifecycle.

These projects will cover the full set of strategic priorities of SS&P and will require a breadth of understanding across the organization.

The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical background, effective relationship building skills, demonstrated problem solving capability and will be able to combine these competencies to create a competitive advantage through analytics.

Our Team

Georgia-Pacifi c's Strategic Sourcing & Procurement (SS&P) organization is responsible for the strategic category management, sourcing and procurement of the critical supplies and materials that support 110+ locations across the US.

The SS&P organization is currently undergoing an exciting transformation where we are partnering with our business partners and leveraging best practices to build internal capabilities that uniquely position the team to improve decision making capabilities and capture significant savings and efficiency opportunities.

What You Will Do


* Rapidly assess new initiatives from across the organization for expected value/cost, scope maturity, and dependencies


* Partner with cross functional teams including data governance, sourcing, procurement operations, inventory management, IT, etc.

to align on strategic priorities of the organization


* Conduct deep dive analyses for priority initiatives to better clarify project requirements and value to move through project lifecycle


* Utilize analytics tools (Excel, Qlik Sense, SQL, etc.) to aid in initiative assessments, rapid prototypes, adhoc analyses, and initiative deep dives


* Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)


* Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Data Analytics, Data Science, Business Analytics, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, or closely related field


* Experience analyzing data, running detailed reports, or extracting data from business systems


* Experience with advanced Excel functionality and logic formulas

What Will Put You Ahead


* Understanding and/or experience with data visualization tools such as Qlik, Tableau, or Power BI


* Experience with relational database management systems (SQL) or big data technologies (AWS)


* Knowledge of procurement master data and best practices (Goods/Services, Pricing, Suppliers, etc.)


* Knowledge of sourcing and procurement best practices and processes
