Under the general direction of the Chief Information Officer, this position's duties include integrating data between electronic medical record software and other clinical and financial applications.

Proficiency in the use of integration engines, Health Level 7 interface standards, and other tools is required.

Incumbent also performs other duties as assigned.

Incumbent may be required to report to their project stakeholder during assigned projects.



* Create new interfaces using interface engines in order to share data between disparate systems and vendors.



* Confirm project requirements by reviewing program objective, input data, and output requirements with analysts, vendors, and clients.



* Create and update existing interfaces to meet standards related to quality, documentation, and best practices.



* Support EMR projects as it relates to integration.



* Monitor and correct interface problems.



* Develop and execute testing plans and scenarios prior to placing interfaces into production.



* Works with SQL as needed to facilitate integration requirements.



* Test and modify interfaces in support of system upgrades.



* Prepare detailed specifications, technical and user documentation from which reports, downloads and extracts will be written.

Ensure complete and accurate logical definition of data.



* Responsible for maintaining data integrity and the ongoing quality control of delivered reports.



* Validate system build/reports designs and perform audit report findings of security and data controls.



* Assist with quality assurance (testing) and documentation of testing results thorough standard procedures and processes.



* Safeguard protected health information from any intentional or unintentional disclosure in compliance with applicable rules and regulations.



* Maintain professional growth and development through seminars, workshops and professional affiliations.



* Performs other duties as assigned.

Education: Bachelor's degree preferred.

Licensure: Epic Bridges Interface Certification required.

New hires and transfers have 45 days from completion of SVMHS-sponsored Epic training to complete required Epic certification.

Experience: Minimum of one (1) year experience within a healthcare-related environment developing or testing integration between disparate systems.

Working knowledge of the process and delivery of patient care services in an acute or ambulatory facility.

The hourly rate for this position is $51.60 - $64.50.

The range displayed on this job posting reflects the target for new hire salaries for this position.
