Automation Engineer

Your Job

As an Automation Engineer in our plant in El Salto, Jalisco you will be responsible to maintain, install, evaluate, monitor, and support existing and future automation in the production line.

What You Will Do



* Perform equipment on-site installation and Acceptance Test Procedures (ATP)


* Evaluate and monitor automation equipment performance, its processes and give feedback to automation team.


* Maintain equipment manual, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Electronic Management Systems (EMS=, automated scripts and workflows for process control maintenance and product configuration.


* Identify and solve problems in machine setup and operation, troubleshoot equipment problems and perform prevention procedure.


* Apply economic thinking to evaluate automation opportunities focusing focus on the highest value.


* Perform equipment and related process training to technicians and operators.


* Use statistical tools to evaluate and analyze machine performance, output efficiency and product quality with related equipment process.

Present data and result to multiple manufacture teams.


* Actively take actions on quality issues on the automation equipment or related process issues.


* Lead manufacturing equipment team to improve machine performance or its process.


* Travel to Carlsbad, CAL for training purposes.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)



* Proficiency in working with automation system and components like motion control, vision control, servo or stepper motors.


* Demonstrated experience with equipment setup, acceptance testing, troubleshooting and providing support


* Hands-on experience with electronics or optical manufacturing assembly process


* Fluent written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish.

What Will Put You Ahead



* Bachelor's degree in engineering


* Vision and motion programing skills.


* Familiarity with equipment control panel wiring and pneumatic systems (eg.

Power supply, IO, SMC)


* Understanding of common communication bus standards such as RS232, Ethernet and Fiber Channel


* Working knowledge of automation equipment deployment and equipment control panel experience
