CIB - Securitized Products Group - Residential Structured Products (RSP) - Associate - NYC
RSF Analytics: Within the Global Securitized Products Group, members of the Residential Structured Finance (RSF)Team work with various groups within the company and counterparties outside the firm to analyze residential mortgage loans to facilitate the purchase, sale, financing and securitization of these assets.
The candidate will gain exposure to mortgage loans in various capacities including all aspects of residential mortgage loan transactions, manage business relationships with internal and external counterparties and gain valuable insight into the purchase, sale, financing, valuation and securitization of residential mortgage loans.
Job Summary:
As an associate within the Securitized Products Group - RSF team, you will gain exposure to mortgage loans in various capacities including all aspects of residential mortgage loan transactions, manage business relationships with internal and external counterparties and gain valuable insight into the purchase, sale, financing, valuation and securitization of residential mortgage loans.
Job Responsibilities:
* Preparing or "cracking" raw mortgage-related data into normalized data fields to produce usable information that can be analyzed economically and qualitatively
* Prepare analytics on pools of mortgage loans or other assets using the firm's internal pricing models and consult with trading desks and internal partners on custom scenarios
* Estimate rating agency loss coverage levels for preparation of hypothetical securitization execution and financing advance rates
* Maintain database of US securitizations and be able to speak to differences in structure, bond sizing and other deal specific features with internal and external partners
* Run ad hoc pricing and scenario analysis in Intex as requested by SPG trading, banking and financing teams
* Support business partners including trading, RSF banking and financing teams with quantitative and qualitative analysis on mortgage pools and securitizations for internal and external opportunities
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
* Bachelor's degree or advanced education with quantitative, computer science or finance background
* 2-4 years relevant professional experience
+ Mortgage data, pricing, structuring
* Working knowledge of fixed income mathematics
* Excellent communication skills and strict attention to detail, must have an eye to identify data and patterns that do not conform to what would be expected for a given data set or report, and speak to both internal and external clients on said data
* Ability to work under competitive pressure, multi-task, prioritize and manage timelines, relationships and deliverables
