Want to be part of a team that really cares and empowers you to help change a customer’s life for the better?  As our Lead Support Worker, you’ll be at the heart of supporting our customers who have complex dual diagnosis with severe and enduring mental health conditions who needs to develop their skills to live more independently in the community.  You’ll make a big difference each day as you help our customers achieve their hopes and aspirations.  Amazing we know!

Typical day as a Lead Support Worker (known by us as Coordinator)


* Creating support plans with your customers.


* Encouraging our customers to be part of our customer involvement groups.


* Helping customers with daily living activities such as making meals, shopping, budgeting, maintaining their tenancy and moving onto independent accommodation if they are able.


* Carrying out risk assessments, support planning, goal setting and regular reviews.


* Cuppas, chats and catch ups.  There’s no rushing from one customer to the next here!  Plenty of time to collaborate with colleagues too.

You bring


* Passion to support our customers to live their best life, working collaboratively with an eye for detail. 


* Experience of creating person-centred support plans and supporting colleagues in working to work to the plans.


* Experience of coordinating and assessing customer referrals.


* The ability to work on your own initiative, remain calm under pressure and have a resilient approach.


* To get from A to B, you’ll need a vehicle insured for business purposes.

The great news is that we’ll pay your mileage! It’s not a deal breaker if you can’t drive as long as you don’t mind using public transport, as it is a community based role.

Our team

You’ll join our manager Lisa, who’s been at Home Group for 7 years now, currently seconded into her senior manager role – she’s a true example of how we grow our own here! Lisa has an evil kitten named Luna, and a huge dog called Benji to chase after outside of work, along with two grown up children so she likes to keep busy! Our Waveney team, are super passionate about what we do, and we’re known in the organisation for our ‘Elf on a Shelf’ antics in December, and are fun team to work with!
