Remote Fixed Equipment Leader

This role will report to the corporate Fixed Equipment team leader for Georgia-Pacific and work closely with each of the Dixie facilities management teams.

The Fixed Equipment leader will be responsible for the execution of the Georgia-Pacific Fixed Equipment (Mechanical Integrity) program to ensure that facilities comply with all company requirements and recommendations, regulatory requirements, and relevant codes, standards, guidelines, and Recognized and Generally Accepted Good Engineering Practices (RAGAGEP) from industrial and professional organizations.

Our Team

Georgia-Pacific Continuous Manufacturing Group (CMG) has an exciting opportunity for a Fixed Equipment Leader (Dixie) to manage a group of fixed equipment assets at our six (6) Dixie Manufacturing facilities.

What You Will Do


* Lead the efforts to build, implement, and manage the requirements of the Georgia-Pacific fixed equipment (mechanical integrity) program for all Dixie facilities.


* Maintain fixed equipment inspection and repair documentation and other records in an Inspection Data Management System (IDMS) to ensure consistent performance of fixed equipment activities and tasks.


* Manage and prioritize the facility's fixed equipment efforts based on risk, value, compliance, and business needs.


* Develop and implement inspection plans, maintenance strategies, and repair procedures to ensure the integrity and reliability of fixed equipment.


* Develop and maintain a five (5) year plan for all fixed equipment at Dixie facilities.


* Utilize best practices and standards that need to be implemented to standardize the facility's processes and execution of the fixed equipment program.


* Maintain metrics to measure the progress of the fixed equipment program and review that progress with facility leaders on a standard cadence.


* Collaborate/partner with and work with other facility capabilities groups that align with safety, environmental, and business vision.


* Provide technical expertise and support to operations, maintenance, and capital project teams in troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and equipment optimization.


* Participate in designing and constructing new fixed equipment to ensure maintainability, reliability, and safe operation.


* Assist the facilities in identifying and applying the correct Recognized and Generally Accepted Good Engineering Practices (RAGAGEP)


* Participate in and lead Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) and Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA) efforts for fixed equipment to identify root causes of complex and/or repetitive problems and implement executable corrective actions.


* Participate in designing and implementing Asset Improvement Strategies for systems to improve production and uptime.
