Assistant Nurse Manager- Public Health CCS Admin

ABOUT THE POSITION

The County of Riverside- Riverside University Health System- Public Health is currently recruiting for an Assistant Nurse Manager for their California Children's Services Administration division located in Riverside, Ca.

The incumbent in this position will be responsible for supervising a team of Public Health Nurses, Technicians and Office Assistants who case manage clients of California Children's Services.

The ideal candidate for this position will possess a BSN and charge/ supervisory nursing experience in a healthcare facility .

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9/80 (Four, Nine-hour days per work week and one eight-hour day per pay period) This position may work remotely two (2) days a week.

License and Certificates:


* Possession of a current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of California.


* Possession of a Current Public Health Nursing License.


* Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.

EXAMPLES OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES

• Support the Nurse Manager, Program Chief, Director, or Manager and his/her assistants in planning, coordinating, and supervising the work of nursing personnel for multiple nursing units, programs, or departments; act for the Nurse Manager or program management during absences, or as directed.

• Evaluate or assist in evaluating the performance of subordinate personnel; assist in the scheduling of personnel and approving time cards; assist in the coordination of in-service educational programs and staff meetings; assist preceptors in developing unit orientation programs for new nurses or program staff.

• Assist in the development of policies and procedures, standards of care and practice, and in the monitoring of nursing care, in relation to those standards, to assure compliance with The Joint Commission (TJC), TitleXXII, and other regulatory standards such as those required by RUHS-MC,RUHS-PH, mental health or public health program grants; advise staff on the interpretation and application of agency policies, laws, and regulations.

• Assist in preparing administrative records, reports, and correspondence related to budget and unit or program operations.

• Promote reliability in the acuity classification of patients and serve as a working charge nurse or supervisor, as needed to meet staffing requirements.

• Promote collaboration among other departments, units, programs, and physicians; represent assigned unit(s) or programs in committee meetings; may address local groups on public health matters.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
OPTION I
Education: Successful completion of the education required to obtain a valid license to practice as a Registered Nurse by the State of California.

A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in nursing is preferred.
