CNA/Dietary Aide

Tidewell Hospice, a member of Empath Health in beautiful Southwest Florida, is seeking a CNA/Dietary Aide.

8a-6:30p; Varied days; Alternating Weekends

The CNA/Dietary Aide:


* Is responsible for food purchasing and storage, meal preparation, meal delivery, and maintenance of a sanitary kitchen environment.


* Undertakes the vital job of meeting the dietary goals and preferences of terminal patients in the hospice house setting.


* In collaboration with the Clinical Director, Registered Dietitian, and Food Service Coordinator, the hospice CNA/Dietary Aide purchases, stores and prepares attractively presented meals in a sanitary manner, on a timely basis.


* Ensures the cleanliness of the kitchen, equipment and dietary department area and performs clinical/patient care duties as a CNA.


* Provides clinical services to meet care needs of patients in the Hospice House as directed by the Registered Nurse.

Requirements:


* Applicants must have Florida State Certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant


* One year of recent experience within a healthcare environment, preferably in a hospice or acute-care setting is preferred


* Previous dietary experience preferred
