Activities Assistant - Riverdale Post Acute

Riverdale Post Acute is looking to expand their team - we are hiring an Activities Assistant !

Job Duties:
Create and lead activities for patients, engage patients in meaningful programs, work as a Team with the Activities Department.

Must be comfortable driving facility van.
Driver requirements:
Must have training and be able to return demonstrate safe clinical based transfer techniques for:


* Ingress Egress of Mobile Patients with Van


* Transfer of patients into and out of Wheelchair


* Properly securing WC bound residents into bays in Vans


* Must be able to lift transfer and mobilize patient weights of up to 70 pounds by self in confined areas inside Van.


* Must be able to make complex decisions involving highly dependent patient base.


* Minimum of a High School Diploma or a GED


* Minimum - 25 years old


* Must have a valid DL


* Must be familiar with GPS and local driving area


* No Traffic Crimes in the last 7 years (DUI, DWS, Reckless Driving).

no Traffic Felonies (Multiple DUI, or DWS, Leaving Scene with Injuries, Assault with Vehicle) Not more than 2 moving violations in 3 years Not more than one accident in 3 years


* Pass a drug screen and background check
