Firmware Developer

Your Job

You will be an embedded Firmware Developer in an industrial communication over ethernet field.

Our Team

You will be working for Molex's office in Normandie (France), reporting to a developer lead and an engineering manager.

What You Will Do



* Design, develop, and maintain existing and new product firmware designs and help to identify, specify, and plan tasks assigned by the project lead.

Provide technical expertise for an accurate determination of costs, delays, and risks related to the project.


* Contribute to company, team, and personal continuous improvement initiatives.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)



* Electronics, Computer Engineering or computer Science degree, diploma or equivalent


* Embedded C programming language skills


* Fluent in English


* Relevant experience in a firmware development role

What Will Put You Ahead



* Familiarity with RTOS (Real-Time Operating Systems), device drivers, and application-level development in an embedded environment.


* Knowledge of industrial communication protocols such as Ethernet/IP, CIP Safety, PROFINET, PROFISafe.


* Knowledge in ethernet protocol


* Familiarity with Functional Safety (IEC 61508 or similar standards)


* Familiarity with PLC's, and ladder logic.


* Experience with source control systems such as GitLab


* Experience with unit testing tools/frameworks such as Cantata
