Human Resource Assistant - Part-time - High Point, NC

The People Services and Payroll team supports GXO Logistics by administering and delivering superior HR service to employees, managers, and stakeholders.

The Human Resource Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting People Services and Payroll's daily operations and ensuring efficient service is delivered.

This position involves administrative tasks, data management, and employee support.

This role is part-time and will report to the Sr.

Director of People Services.

What you'll do on a typical day:


* Administer all mail that is directed to People Services, Payroll, and HR.

This includes scanning and uploading to ServiceNow Case Management, adding supporting documentation regarding the case, categorizing and assigning cases to the appropriate team



* Assist in preparation and maintenance of HR Documents to ensure accuracy and completeness, documents like benefit or health forms and employment verification letters


* Support garnishment process by completing applicable forms, notarizing, and mailing to applicable federal or state departments


* Print and mail time-sensitive on-demand paychecks


* Distribute returned checks to the appropriate department


* Administer personnel records and associated HR files


* Order office and mail supplies


* Active participant of the People Services and Payroll team by contributing to knowledgebase management, suggesting continuous improvement ideas, and participating in creating department culture


* Perform other job-related duties as assigned

What you need to succeed at GXO:

At a minimum, you'll need:


* 1 year of related administrative experience


* High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive situations and confidential information with discretion


* Exceptional customer service skills including excellent written and verbal communication skills


* Ability to adapt to multiple customers


* Attention to detail and high standard for data integrity and quality work


* Ability to learn new technology and processes quickly


* Experience with Microsoft Office products such as Word, PowerPoint, and Excel

It'd be great if you also have:


* 3 years of related experience


* Experience with HRIS systems such as SuccessFactors


* Experience working with case management and knowledge base tools


* Bilingual language English / Spanish


* Valid Notary Public certification
