Job Summary:

We are looking for a hands-on Senior Algorithms & Data Science Engineer to drive the development of algorithms for our oxygen concentrators and our Cloud data services.

These algorithms span a wide range of product facets, from machine learning algorithms for our concentrators to field data analysis algorithms that provide critical insight into product usage, patient experience, potential improvements, and new products as well as device and biomarker data analysis to provide treatment suggestions to clinicians and patients.

The ideal candidate thrives in fast paced environment, can help drive strategic planning of algorithm-related business needs, and can execute algorithm design, development, and testing.

While mining, interpreting, and cleaning our data, this person will be relied on to ask questions, connect the dots, and uncover hidden opportunities for realizing the data’s full potential.

As a specialist, the data scientist will “slice and dice” data using various methods and create new visions for the future. 

Responsibilities (Specific tasks, duties, essential functions of the job) 


* Lead the design, development, and testing of algorithms used in an oxygen concentrator. 


* Analyze data for trends and patterns and interpret data with clear objectives in mind. 


* Implement analytical models in production by collaborating with software developers. 


* Analyze data uploaded from an oxygen concentrator and wearable devices to the Cloud. 


* Contribute to strategic planning of product improvements, new productconcepts, and algorithm development needs across the business. 


* Collaborate with the Software Engineering and Information Technology teams to define Cloud-based data architectures for device data and wearable data, including storage, transformations, and interfaces with machine learning algorithms. 


* Drive the implementation of scalable methods, processes, and tools that accelerate machine learning algorithm development and testing. 


* Define technical content for product design including design requirements and specifications, verification and validation plans, protocols, and reports, and risk management files. 


* Perform hands-on algorithm development, including training and testing, from exploratory engineering testing and formal validation testing.


* Provide algorithm and data science support during clinical studies and commercial release of new products. 


* Provide technical guidance and mentorship across the engineering team. 


* Assessing the business impact that certain technical choices have. 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities 


* Strong understanding of machine learning concepts such as model selection, data selection, training methods, etc.
