Dealer Development Representative (Diesel Parts & Service Support)

POSITION SUMMARY

Support and assist Dealer sales, parts, and service personnel.

Promote Dealer product lines and improve customer service via problem solving.

Ensure the dealer and customer understand appropriate policies/procedures/regulations issued by both the Dealer and Federal Government.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS


* Develop new Dealers, support current Dealers while promoting programs and upselling genuine parts and engines.


* Keep all Dealers and Distributor personnel up to date on current issues.


* Promote full Dealer product line to Fleets and individuals in area of responsibility to increase market share.


* Attend periodic meetings/conference calls and training conducted by dealer.

QUALIFICATIONS

High School Diploma or General Education (GED) and five to seven years related experience.

Bachelor’s degree in business strongly preferred.


* Self-motivated without the need for daily supervision.


* Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly.


* Ability to give presentations to groups of varying sizes.


* Ability to effectively build relationships with customers and co-workers.


* The trait of being dependable and trustworthy.


* Ability to communicate in writing clearly and concisely.


* Ability to communicate effectively with others using the spoken word.


* The successful candidate may require endorsement from Allison Transmission.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Computer Skills

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Ability to identify, adapt and manage a complex, global Learning Management System (LMS)

Certificates & Licenses

Certification in Dealer product lines

Salary range is $70K to $85k,  Stewart & Stevenson offers a comprehensive benefit package, that includes medical, dental, vision and life insurance.

Plus vacation, sick time and holiday pay.
