Hoffman Meridian Specialist

General Summary

The general purpose of the job is to promote all Hoffman products and grow the existing Hoffman business in the 3 McNaughton-McKay Central Ohio locations.  The main focus for the position is to be customer facing with our Sales & Engineering Teams, working to achieve new business and expand existing business.

 

Key Responsibilities:
1.

Develop and lead the implementation of the sales plan for Hoffman enclosures including managing sales goals.  This activity includes periodic reporting on activity against the plan.
2.

Manage Hoffman merchandizing and other promotional activities per plan.   This includes management of co-op funding.
3.

Take the lead in follow-up and target account planning implementation, in conjunction with Hoffman and distributor management planning.
4.

Through the use of on-line sales aids and programs (I-Helps, Hoffmanonline.com distributor extranet, Desktop pricing tools, and EDI transactions), reduce transaction time and cost for Hoffman products and services.   Drive service performance through the use of the Information Data Warehouse (IDW) and Hoff Q-access systems.
5.

Promote Modification Services and lead the sales and specification activity with target customers.
6.

Personally participate in Hoffman training programs.   Become certified as a Hoffman Enclosure Specialist.
7.

Arrange and help conduct customer and distributor training programs.
8.

Be the point-contact for Hoffman RFO’s, orders and after-the-sale service.
9.

Develop a plan and follow up on all inquiries and leads delivered to the Meridian Distributor as a result of Hoffman promotional activities such as advertising and trade shows.
10.

Main contact for all Hoffman activities.
11.

Work aggressively with the Hoffman Reps.

and McNaughton-McKay Account Managers to coordinate efforts finding new Hoffman business.

Qualifications:
1.

High School diploma required; Bachelor of Science degree preferred.
2.

Minimum of five years’ relative distributor-based sales, service, and/or relation experience.
3.

Working knowledge of enclosure application and selection.
4.

Thorough knowledge of electrical products sold by McNaughton-McKay.
5.

Basic sales skills including a courteous and professional communication style.
6.

Work history demonstrating self-motivation and self-management.
7.

Computer experience required.
