Mechanic Skilled

JOB SUMMARY: Maintains the physical and mechanical equipment, including emergency repairs and preventative maintenance, to ensure the safety and comfort of patients and staff.

Shift work will be required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: High School or four-year technical school equivalent.

Licensure/Registration/Certification: Preferred but not required.

Work Experience: Minimum of (2) years of full-time experience at one or more skilled building trade.

Technical school may be substituted.

Physical & Other Factors: Must be capable of performing mechanical labor as required by job assignments.

Must be able to lift heavy objects weighing up to 50lbs.

Work & Environmental Conditions: Can be working indoors or out, year-round.

Can be performing work in mechanical rooms or anywhere throughout the hospital.

Exposed to dirt, dust, noise, chemicals, steam pipes and high voltage.

Must be capable of working safely with power tools.

Work Shift: M-F, EVERY 5TH WEEKEND/ HOLIDAY

Salary Range:  $18 - $34 Hourly (DOE)
