Deckhand
I.
BASIC FUNCTION
Illinois Marine Towing Deckhands work on our fleet of Inland Towing and Fleeting Vessels preparing barges for safe and timely transport.
Qualified candidates must be safety-conscious and able to work in a physically demanding environment.
The work schedule consists of 21 days on and 21 days off (Line Boat) or 14 days on and 7 days off (Fleet Boat), working 12 hour shifts.
All applicants must have favorable work references and must pass a
pre-employment physical examination and drug screen.
II.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
The duties of the Deck Crew vary from vessel to vessel and from watch to watch.
Duties include but are not necessarily limited to:
* Performing the various tasks necessary to maintaining, making up and breaking a tow, such as making a coupling, operating winches and ratchets, handling wires, handling and throwing lines and splicing lines
* Dropping, spotting and switching barges at docks
* Standing lookout or “riding the head” of the tow as a lookout
* Maintain cleanliness of the vessel and tow, such as cleaning or “souging” the vessel and cleaning living quarters
* Inspect and maintain equipment
* Preform basic vessel maintenance
* Report any relevant vessel condition information, especially any hazardous or unsafe condition of the boat, tow, and any associated equipment not to the Leadman, Master (or Pilot on Watch) and take action to prevent injuries or accidents
* Adhere to all IMT policies, USCG and environmental regulations
III.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Physical requirements of the job include climbing ladders and stairs, repetitive bending and stooping, lifting heavy marine equipment, and lifting objects from various levels ranging from 10-100 pounds.
The equipment and tools used to perform job duties includes but is not restricted to lines, cables, ratchets, cheater pipes, pumps.
IV.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Deckhands work and live aboard their assigned vessel for extended periods of time.
The majority of duties performed by Deckhands are on the outside of the vessel and they may be subject to inclement weather (snow, ice, extreme heat, rain, fog, etc.).
This work may be performed in rough waters and unstable footing conditions.
V.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Candidates must:

Austin Bridge & Road is currently seeking laborers for any of the North and South Texas construction projects. We excel at what we do and are looking for talented construction professionals that want to excel with us.
The laborers will help support the project and crew with various tasks.
Responsibilities
* Able to follow instructions
* Provide support to the skilled trades
* Hand digging / trenching
* Pour concrete
* Place asphalt
* Set forms
* Traffic control
* Place erosion control devices
* General site cleanup and maintenance
* Follow safety policies & procedures
* Work hours adjusted to meet the project’s needs; days, nights and weekends
* Able to work in adverse weather conditions, hot or cold temperatures
* Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
* 1+ years of experience
* Must have a strong commitment to jobsite safety
* Diligent in demonstrating safe work practices.

POSITION SUMMARY: ProcessBarron a world class leader in design and manufacturing conveying equipment.
We are seeking to hire highly skilled designer / draftsmen for the Material handing engineering department located in Pelham, AL.
ProcessBarron engineering department uses CAD software, 3D design, Scanning equipment, drones and other state of the art equipment to create custom conveying equipment for paper mills, power plants and other related industries.
We engineer, design and build belt conveyors, drag conveyors, screw conveyors, silos, reclaimers, fuel feed bins, rotary feeders, structural towers, platforms and other equipment.
If you have experience in any of the following areas we want to hear from you:
Structural detailing
Mechanical design and drafting
AutoCAD experience
Extensive “board” drafting experience
Plate work detailing (flat pattern layouts, Development drawings, welding)
We use AutoCAD and Inventor as our primary software to design and create plant layouts, equipment general arrangements, customer approval drawings, P&I’s, material flow diagrams, shop fabrication drawings (detail drawings), and plate cutting templates.
Drawings include dimensioning, welding specifications, and machining tolerances, BOMs, and flat pattern details.
We understand that you may not have a vast background in all these areas but we are willing to train and work with the right candidate that has a willingness to learn and be a part of this exciting industry.
RESPONSIBILITIES & EXPECTATIONS:
* Drafting background and AutoCAD experience is a must.
* The ideal candidate would have:
* 5+ years drafting experience
* Proficient at AutoCAD 2D drafting
* Have a Structural detailing background
* Read and understand shop fabrication blueprints.
* Have a vast understanding of conveying equipment design or related machinery design
* Have a background using Autodesk Inventor or other 3D drafting programs
* Have a good understanding of machining, welding and fabrication processes.
* Have designed rotating equipment using with motors, gear reducers, sprockets and chains.
* Engineering experience
* Produce customer general arrangement drawings. Produce fabrication drawings, including dimensioning, weld specifications, and machining tolerances for shop use. Checking of drawings produced by other designers. Perform design analysis as requested.
* Interaction and Communication with persons, internal to and outside of the company, and vendors, with regard to drawings, design information, project management, fabrication support, installation support, and general customer support.
* Clear and Effective Communication Skills - Create supporting documentation for as-built designs. Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel. Create drawing release transmittals and manufacturing orders for the fabrication and machine shops. Create requisitions, bills...
