Stevens Institute of Technology, a leading national research university located in Hoboken, NJ, seeks an innovative and organized Evening Health Director for the Office of Pre-College Programs.
Reporting to the Director of Pre-College Programs, the Evening Health Director will be responsible for providing a safe experience for ~800 high school students attending the Pre-College Program.
Pre-College Programs Evening Health Director position is a live-in position in a coeducational residential community.
Typical duties include:
* Managing evening and overnight supervision of participants and their wellbeing
* Collaborate with on campus Health Center to ensure that individual health care needs are met for all program participants.
* Maintain accurate and detailed medical records according to NJ state and American Camp Association Standards
* Review ACA and NJ Camp standards protocol and requirements
* Prepare and utilize a daily medical log for treatment
* Oversee first aid procedures and supplies
* Responsible for administering basic first-aid services to participants
* Ensure supplies are well stocked
* Responsible for overnight on-call duty
* Escort participants to and from the emergency room and/or off-site physician’s office if needed.
* Report all emergencies to the Director of Pre-College Programs as soon as possible.
* Responsible for communicating with participant parents/guardians concerning the status of their child’s health by telephone.
* Requires flexibility and maturity
* Excellent written and verbal communication, and strong interpersonal skills..

* Appointments are for 1 month in length (June 24th - July 26th).

Requirements:
* Must live on campus in one of our residential halls while students are on campus.
* Must be 18 years or older and be one of the following:
* A physician licensed by the New Jersey State Board of Medical Examiners to practice medicine or osteopathy.
* A registered nurse or licensed practical nurse, licensed by the New Jersey Board of Nursing
* An individual who is certified in advanced first aid, paramedic or emergency medical technician or first responder/CIM accredited by a certification agency approved by the NJ Department of Health as listed in “Recognized Certifications (CPR-First Aid- Lifeguarding-Trained Pool operator)”
* Or an Athletic Trainer that has a valid certification from the Board of Certification

* Seeking Physician Assistants or Nurse Practitioners interested in Correctional Health
* Must have at least one year of experience.
* Must be comfortable with medical management, review of labs, EKGs, as well as minor procedures including but not limited to suturing, incision and drainage, toenail removal, etc.
* Typical shifts are Monday to Friday and 10 hours in length.

PURPOSE AND SCOPE:
The professional registered nurse Inpatient Services RN CAP 1 is an entry level designation into the Clinical Advancement Program (CAP). This position is accountable and responsible for the provision and coordination of clinically competent care including assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation for an assigned group of patients.
This may include delegation of appropriate tasks to direct patient care staff including but not limited to RNs, LVN/LPNs and Patient Care Technicians.
As a member of the kidney disease health care team, this position participates in decision-making, teaching, leadership functions, and quality improvement activities that enhance patient care outcomes and program operations.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
All duties and responsibilities are expected to be performed in accordance with Fresenius Kidney Care, policy, procedures, standards of nursing practice, applicable contractual service agreements, state and federal regulations.
* Performs all essential functions under the direction of the Supervisor and with guidance from the Educator, Preceptor or in collaboration with another Registered Nurse.
* Performs ongoing, systematic collection and analysis of patient data pre – during – post treatment for assigned patients and documents in the patient medical record, makes adjustments and modifications to treatment plan as indicated and notifies Supervisor, Physician, patient’s primary nurse and others as may be indicated.
* Assesses, collaborates and documents patient/family’s basic learning needs to provide initial and ongoing education to patients and family.

* Directs and provides safe effective patient care for assigned patients as prescribed for all modality specific treatment procedures.
