ABOUT THE ROLE
All duties are performed in a work-safe manner; plant safety rules are followed and individual works as a team member.
Drivers & Operators are given primary responsibility of performing all plant tasks that require the use of heavy mobile equipment.
The associated equipment of the limestone quarry and the plant equipment are also considered equipment to be operated through mobile operators.
Responsible for the operation of plant processing equipment at a sand and gravel or quarry production operation.
WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH
* Using a computer or manual controls, effectively operates primary or secondary crushing or other plant equipment in order to meet site production needs.
* Communicates with load and unload areas, hauls materials safely to designated areas and maintains safe speed and observes all plant traffic controls.
* Performs walk-around pre-trip safety inspections.
Identifies any safety problems or concerns and report any unsafe conditions to Supervisor including near misses and any other areas where safety can be improved.
* Performs maintenance activities to ensure haul truck is maintained to the required standard and assist with other plant maintenance activities as required including site housekeeping or clean up activities.
* Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas.
Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.

* Required: High School Diploma or GED preferred
* Required: Prior experience operating haulage trucks or heavy equipment.
1-3 years experience
* Required: Valid Drivers License

WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH
* Knowledge of and ability to operate several pieces of dirt work equipment including, but not limited to Dozer,Track loader, Excavator, Skidsteer, Tractor, and Backhoe.
* Assists crew in daily operations on assigned job sites.
* Responsible for maintaining the appearance of the plant and yard area by using general housekeepingpractices.
* Perform assignments outlined by supervisors and standard procedures are followed in the performance of duties.
* Work is inspected periodically for safety and economy in operation.
* Perform pre-shift inspections onmobile equipment.
* Performs emergency and routine repairs and maintenance on plant equipment and structures at the sitelocations.
* May perform routine preventative maintenance on mobile equipment, such as lubricating, fueling,and cleaning.
* Conducts routine inspections of plant and mobile equipment.
* Grease and fuel mobile equipment.
* Follows all safety, compliance and environmental requirements in alignment with company standards.
* To act in a safe manner, aware and willing to act upon observing any unsafe practices.
* Perform routine preventative maintenance on mobile equipment and conducts routine inspections on mobileequipment.
* Must be detail oriented with the ability to handle multiple tasks at one time.
* Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas.
