Manufacturing Floor Assistant is responsible in providing support on the manufacturing floor to machinists, welders, and fabricators. Manufacturing Floor Asst will operate machinery such as but not limited to CNC fabrication equipment, waterjet, press brake, and machinery used in the production process or assists machine operators.
Under direct supervision, the Manufacturing Floor Asst will be responsible to support the manufacturing of mechanical prototype devices or products.
What a Manufacturing Floor Asst does (may not be all inclusive):
* Perform surface prep of sheet goods with an automatic sanding machine and deburr finished parts
* Operate CNC fabrication equipment such as a waterjet and press brake
* Operates machinery used in the production process, or assists machine operators
* Lifts raw materials, finished products, and packed items, manually or using hoists
* carry tools and materials or help set up equipment
* Assists with cleaning up sites, and disposing of waste, as well as helping with any other needs

Experience and Skills Needed:
* High School diploma (or equivalent) plus advanced training and 3-4 years of manufacturing experience

* Safely utilize tools and hardware using standard fabrication shop practices
