JOB DESCRIPTION
This is a North America Finance position that will support group management reporting, including participation in daily team operations and deliverables, and support various project efforts.
Critical qualities to succeed include the ability to take ownership, identify and recommend remediation for issues; develop relationships; and a willingness/desire to continuously build insurance/product knowledge.
Key Responsibilities
* Analyze profit and loss results for consolidated North America and its component segments, particularly as it relates to plan, forecast, and prior year variances.
* Support monthly/quarterly close activities by owning key processes and resulting deliverables and creating opportunities for process improvement.
* Support efforts to maintain Sarbanes Key Control activities with a disciplined approach to account reconciliation and develop enhancements as necessary to ensure proper performance as part of each quarterly close process.
* Create efficiencies through enhanced interactions with key providers of data and information (Actuarial, Reinsurance, Claims, IT, etc.), including the development of strong and productive relationships with these various functional areas.
* Lead and/or participate in projects designed to enhance existing processes or react to emerging changes in control activity requirements.
* Continue to deploy advancements in available technology to enhance processes.

Responsibilities
* Work with Engineering teams to standardize on the Monitoring logging framework.
Build automation in the Science logic platform to integrate with azure monitor.
* Provide operational support for the Azur Infrastructure including PaaS and IaaS.
* Operational support of the Kubernetes platform (on-prem) as well as Azure(AKS)
* Implement automation and self-service capabilities using CI/CD pipelines for Infrastructure
* Manage Incidents and changes as requested by Applications team for Kubernetes and Azure
* Manage the end user collaboration using village site and conduct regular sessions to educate end users on services and automation capabilities
* Find opportunities of siloed manual tasks and build automation to remove manual work
* Attend escalations from App teams and provide assistance during major production issues from an Operations prospective
* Manage day to day ServiceNow queue and make sure all incidents are assigned and worked upon

The Senior Claims Specialist will work in a collaborative environment to investigate and settle claims promptly and equitably while building and maintaining productive relationships with internal and external customers, including clients, underwriting and service teams.
In this role you will have the opportunity to use creative thinking to overcome obstacles and work to develop innovative approaches to solving customer problems.
This role requires an individual to be accountable for the handling and disposition of claims including investigation, coverage determination, reserving, negotiation and settlement or trial strategies.
This position will require some travel, as well as coordinating with and servicing both internal and external business partners.
Responsibilities
* Provides outstanding customer service and works well with the insured, broker and TPA in the adjustment of mainstream casualty and business auto claims.
* Analyzes coverage and communicates coverage positions, as warranted, under direction of manager.
* Conducts, coordinates, and directs investigation into loss facts and extent of third-party damages.
Directs and closely monitors assignments to experts and defense counsel.
* Evaluates information on coverage, liability, and damages to determine the extent of exposure to the insured and the company.
* Sets reserves within authority or makes claim recommendations concerning reserve changes to supervisor.
* Travels to conferences, mediations, and trials as necessary.
