Your Role & Responsibilities
As an SLP at Mission Valley, you will be instrumental in restoring our residents' communication and swallowing functions:
* Comprehensive Assessment: Evaluate and treat residents with speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders.
* Dysphagia Management: Assess and treat swallowing disorders to ensure resident safety and nutritional health.
* Individualized Care: Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans tailored to each resident's unique cognitive and communication goals.
* Interdisciplinary Teamwork: Collaborate with nursing, dietary, and other therapy disciplines to provide holistic care.
* Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely clinical records in compliance with state and federal regulations.
Qualifications
* Licensure: Must hold a current and valid California Speech-Language Pathologist License.
* Clinical Passion: A strong interest in geriatric care, stroke recovery, and dementia-related speech therapy.
* Flexibility: Ability to provide PRN coverage to support the changing needs of our resident population.
