The Manufacturing Process Engineer will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining efficient manufacturing processes to meet production requirements.
This role involves working closely with the production team to drive continuous improvement in process efficiency, cost reduction, and product quality.
The successful candidate will possess a strong understanding of engineering principles, manufacturing technologies, and process optimization techniques.
What You Will Do
* Design and develop manufacturing processes for enhancements, product changes, and new products, and related fixtures and tooling that are consistent with zero defect level and low product cost
* Provide technical expertise and leadership in the optimization of production processes, facility layouts, and workflow designs to maximize efficiency and safety
* Implement and evaluate changes to existing manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency and reduce waste
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, Quality, Production, and Supply Chain to ensure the successful launch of new products and processes
* Conduct process analysis and propose improvements based on findings
* Develop and maintain detailed documentation for process control and process improvement projects, including work instructions, process flow diagrams, and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
* Utilize Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or similar methodologies to drive continuous improvement initiatives
* Oversee the installation of new machinery and equipment and ensure that it meets specifications and safety standards
* Provide training and guidance to manufacturing personnel to ensure that processes are executed correctly
* Conduct root cause analysis for production issues and develop corrective action plans
* Stay up to-date with the latest manufacturing trends and technologies and investigate their applicability within the company
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
* Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
* Proven experience as a Manufacturing Process Engineer or similar role
* Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals, including mechanical, electrical, and industrial engineering principles
* Familiarity with CAD software and manufacturing simulation tools
* Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement processes
* Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a cross-functional team environment
