Position Overview
This is a skilled position controlling production and load out of materials produced in plants.
The plant operator is responsible for the efficient working condition of plant equipment and is expected to perform minor servicing and maintenance or refer major problems to the supervisor.
Some night work will be required.
WAGE Range: $28.00 to $30.00 per hour; dependent on experience
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Reads work schedules and determines sequence of operations.
• Operates plant according to production schedule using appropriate materials.
• Monitor material operation to ensure quality of mix.
• Performs basic maintenance and service on plant as required.
• Ability to weld using an arc welder or cutting torch is preferred.
