Solution Architect - AF FM Systems
Joint Base Andrews, MD
Tallon is recruiting for Solution Architect to support big data infrastructure design for Air Force Financial Management (AF FM) systems.
Prior experience with Air Force legacy systems, network, and infrastructure is required.
This postion is a direct hire (W2 salary plus benefits) working directly for our client.
The program requires an on-site hybrid schedulle.
Relocation support will be considered.
Role and responsibilities include:
* Work as part of a collaborative team with Air Force product and platform owners supporting big data infrastructure in a cloud environment
* Support design for scalable solutions and requirements
* Onboard new use cases
* Support functional and operational requirements
* Promote best practices for policy implementation
Requirements include:
* U.S.
citizenship
* Current security clearance (Secret at a minimum)
* Bachelor's degree in a related discipline is preferred; equivalent years of related experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
* 6+ years of related experience developing business architecture and strategies supporting Air Force Financial Management (AF FM) Systems
* Experience with SAF/FM systems
* Experience working with AF FM legacy systems including:
+
o Automated Business Services System (ABSS)
o Air Force Equipment Management System (AFEMS)
o Automated Funds Management (AFM)
o Civilian Pay Accounting Interface System (CPAIS)
o Central Procurement Accounting System (CPAS)
o Commanders’ Resource
* Experience developing target architecture and roadmaps and aligning technical goals with larger enterprise-level decisions
* Experience with big data processing frameworks including Google BigQuery, Amazon Athena, and EMR
* Experience with SQL queries using Databricks, Redshift, or Snowflake
* Experience developing and delivering presentations to senior management and stakeholders
* Proficiency working across MS Office Suite including advanced Excel skills
* Effective written and verbal communication skills to work in a collaborative environment with government and contractor teams
* Availability to support on-site hybrid schedule (1-2 days/week)
