We are seeking a detail-oriented Commercial Property Claims Technical Specialist responsible for close oversight of Property claims handled by Third Party Administrators.
May directly handle large/complex claims in excess of TPA authority, including litigated matters. This role involves reviewing policy coverage, working with third-party administrators, and ensuring compliance with company polies and regulations. This may include providing investigation guidance and negotiating settlements.
Key Accountabilities/Deliverables:
* Ensure compliance with established claim handling guidelines regarding coverage, investigation, liability, damages evaluation and resolution
* Provide technical oversight and direction to TPA claim handlers
* Appropriately evaluate insurance contracts, including timely identification of coverage issues
* Effectively manage claim diaries to maintain progress toward claim resolution
