In this role, you will be responsible for promoting and selling Comcast/Xfinity products and services directly to customers in their homes, including Internet, TV, and streaming services, mobile, personal home security services, and Xfinity Voice.

PRIMARY FUNCTION:
The purpose of this position is to assemble, repair, and fabricate metal parts by operating mechanical equipment and assembles parts into sub-units or complete units.
Uses blueprints and design sketches to ensure the proper dimensions and tolerance levels of the finished product.
Machinist will also inspect, pressure test, resurface and repair cylinder heads and cylinder blocks per manufacturer specifications.
Second shift schedule: M-Th, 2:00 PM - 12:30 AM.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
* Fabricate metallic and nonmetallic parts, and fits and assembles machined parts into complete units, applying knowledge of machine shop theory and procedures, shop mathematics and layout techniques:
* Studies blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample part to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work piece, sequence of operations, and setup requirements.
* Measures, marks, and scribes dimensions and reference points on material or work piece as guides for subsequent machining.
* Selects, aligns, and secures holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines, such as mills, lathes, jig borers, grinders, and shapers.
* Calculates and sets controls to regulate machining factors, such as speed, feed, coolant flow, and depth and angle of cut, or enters commands to retrieve, input, or edit computerized machine control media.
* Starts and observes machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and adjusts machine controls or control media as required.
* Verifies conformance of finished work piece to specifications, using precision measuring instruments.
Sets up and operates machine on trial run to verify accuracy of machine settings or programmed control data.
* Fits and assembles parts into complete assembly, using jigs, fixtures, surface plate, surface table, hand tools, and power tools.
* Verifies dimensions and alignment of assembly, using measuring instruments, such as micrometers, height gauges, and gauge blocks.
* May install machined replacement parts in mechanisms, machines, and equipment, and test operation of unit to ensure functionality and performance.
* May operate welding equipment to cut or weld parts.
May develop specifications from general description and draw sketch of part or product to be fabricated.
* Inspects and pressure tests cylinder heads, makes necessary repairs as needed per manufacturer specifications.

PRIMARY FUNCTION :
This position provides major support for the service department through promoting customer satisfaction, direct customer contact responsibilities, quoting of major jobs, directly supervising field service technicians, and performing some administrative operational responsibilities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Customer Service - Percent of Time Spent = 50%
* Accepts and coordinates customer inquiries and requests (phone, walk-in or mail) for machine repair/service.
* Establishes job priorities and schedules daily job assignments for each Field Technician.
* Manages or resolves customer's machine service complaints and problems to the best customer satisfaction level possible.
* Provides customer service, pricing quotes and machine service completion and delivery schedule information.
* Daily monitors machine repair schedule and immediately contacts customer with any schedule updates, modifications or whenever any additional repair is needed.

* Coordinates job repair priorities and assigns daily job assignments.
* Serves as a liaison between Service Manager, other departments and branches such as shop, parts department, machine transportation, and Specialization shop.

look up customer account job and component codes, warranty status, enter into mainframe).
Administer credit and COD collection per Company Policy.
* Issues, extends and enters purchase orders.
* Prepares correspondence, quotes, records, reports, etc.
* Periodically prepares reports and memos.
Supervision - Percent of Time Spent = 30%
* Supervises and dispatches Field Service personnel to ensure accuracy, quality and profitability.
* Prepares and conducts associate performance reviews for direct reports.
* Ensures all Safety guidelines and policies are adhered to.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS :
Education :
A two-year business or management degree, or a four-year Bachelor of Science or Business Management degree preferred, or a high school graduate with at least six years of experience in similar work environment plus group leader experience .
Work Experience :
Four years working experience in similar customer service-related position.
Basic mechanical and product knowledge is desirable.
Physical:
Must be able to work for long periods while seated.
Must have ability to clearly communicate with customers on the phone or in person.
Good customer relations skills are required.
Must have basic PC experience with keyboarding and word processing software (preferably Microsoft).
