Maximus is looking for a Senior Systems Administrator to join its Technology Solutions (TS) Team.
As a Senior Systems Administrator you will be responsible for managing and maintaining application server environments (specifically Archibus), ensuring security, reliability, and performance to support our organization's critical infrastructure.
You will work with a team of highly skilled IT professionals and will support related systems and applications.

Job-Specific Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Archibus Administration:
- Oversee and support all Windows server roles: Active Directory (AD), DNS, DHCP, group policy, Certificate server manager, and related services to maintain system health, performance, and security.
- Update and develop Java integrations to improve Archibus system alignment with the end-user requirements.
- Query SQL and write SQL scripts to troubleshoot and remediate end user data discrepancies.
Server Management:
- Develop scripts to streamline server administration processes.
- Configure and manage Windows servers, including upgrades, patches, and security configurations.
- Support and manage the virtual environment (VMware) by troubleshooting, optimizing performance and resource allocation.
Backup and Disaster Recovery:
- Recommend and implement backup and recovery strategies to protect data integrity and availability.
- Confirm regular backups and recovery drills to ensure data can be restored in case of failures or disasters.
- Apply security best practices and adhere to compliance requirements (NIST, ISO) to safeguard sensitive information and ensure data integrity.
Troubleshooting and Support:
- Diagnose and resolve complex issues across the application technology stack; provide third-level support for critical incidents and maintain ticketing documentation.
- Collaborate with application developers, system administrators, and other IT staff to resolve database problems.
Documentation:
- Maintain documentation of application, database, and server configurations.
- Create and update operational manuals and guidelines (SOPs) for application and database management.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Hardware, Network, Security, and Firewall teams to support infrastructure projects and resolve issues.
