This role will be one of the lead roles in the multidisciplinary team (MDT) in the area and is a contract commitment.
Salary Range: Non-London £30,000 - £35,000
• To contribute to MDT triage, improving referral quality and optimisation of care prior to treatment.
• Conduct holistic dietetic assessments and interventions to advise children and families at an individual or group level
• To provide group or 1-1 interventions for children, young people and families
• Responsible for clear and accurate documentation of assessment findings and progress notes
• To work collaboratively on the service development of the MDT
• To support in educating internal and external staff and colleagues regarding dietetic management
• To uphold and inform clinical governance and safeguarding structures
Qualifications
BSc in nutrition and dietetics and registered with the Health and Care Professions Council
Membership of the British Dietetic Association (BDA) or alternative professional indemnity in place
Experience
Essential
Experience of working with mental health/learning disability clients in healthcare setting
Working with children
Multi-disciplinary working
Demonstrable experience of speaking to large groups
Desirable
Experience working in a weight management service
Motivational interviewing skills or behaviour change skills training
Experience of partnership working with a variety of stakeholders
