The Corporate & Investment Bank (CIB) Central Planning & Analysis (P&A) Team manages the CIB annual budget process as well as the CIB forecast (monthly/weekly) process working globally with the CIB Lines of businesses.
The team is responsible for producing p/l reports and analysis that are informative, accurate, reliable and timely.
Key stakeholders include CIB CFO, CIB P&A Head, Corporate P&A, CIB Line of Business P&A and CIB Product Controllers
The team manages the periodic (monthly/weekly) updates of the CIB P&L forecast, providing updates to CIB Management and Corporate P&A as well as managing the system submission to Corporate P&A.
The team is involved in the monthly, quarterly and year end close process providing details on variances to forecast and period on period variances.
The team works very closely with the CIB Central Technology team and P&A partners across the Finance organization.
The team manages the CIB annual budgeting process as well as ad-hoc analysis related to all things CIB including quarterly business reviews, Operating Committee reviews, etc.
Associate Responsibilities:
The CIB Central P&A Associate role provides a unique opportunity to interact with multiple lines of business and corporate groups.
It is an opportunity to learn about the core CIB businesses in a fast-paced environment.
The individual will join the team and be part of the group managing the timely delivery of management reporting to senior business stakeholders and Corporate P&A including variance analysis and all ad hoc requests.
The individual will partner with other members of the CIB Central P&A Team on the monthly/weekly CIB forecast ensuring all aspects of the P&L are understood and can be explained.
Job Responsibilities:
* Serve as one of the points of contact for the CIB Line of Business P&A teams related to budget/forecast updates
* Liaise with Corporate P&A ensuring all budget deliverables are adhered to.
* Ensure timely and accurate information delivery.
* Conduct ad-hoc MIS reporting and analysis, in conjunction with other members of the CIB Central P&A team.
* Work with CIB Central technology teams on testing various new functionalities.
Qualification:
* Undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field
* Minimum of 1-5 years Financial Service industry experience
* Excellent communication skills and ability to develop relationship with other teams.
* Ability to multi-task multiple requirements under considerable time pressure
* Maintain a high degree of accuracy and quality of work
* Strong analytical and problem solving skills
* Ability to work with teams across different locations
* Strong attention to detail
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint
