The Nemours Cardiac Center (NCC) provides comprehensive care for infants, children, and adolescents with cardiac, thoracic, and vascular disease.
The Cardiac Center provides patient care, performs research, educates and trains health care professionals in a variety of settings.
This individual will work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other health care providers, dedicating his/her specialized practice to cardiac patients located in either the cardiac intensive care unit, on our telemetry floor or in our post anesthesia cardiac unit (cardiac PACU).
The APRN or PA will also be involved with cardiac babies delivered on site in our advanced delivery unit.
Our patient population ranges from newborns to young adults with congenital or acquired heart disease.
Our surgeons perform all of the complex cardiac repairs, including definitive neonatal surgery, adult congenital surgery, and heart transplantation.
They utilize all forms of mechanical support (VAD's, ECMO, ECLS) as an adjunct to our very active heart failure and pulmonary hypertension service.
This position will include working some night, weekend, and holiday shifts.
Essential Responsibilities:
* Obtain medical histories, perform physical exams, order and interpret laboratory data, and prescribe management and medications on patients admitted to our inpatient service.
* Present patients on rounds, write daily progress notes, collate inpatient records, and complete discharge summaries using the electronic medical record.
* Assist in the preoperative and postoperative care of surgical patients.
* Provide continuity of care when coordinating care with other members of the health care team.
* Attend and present departmental patient care conferences and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
* Interact with families of our patients, embracing a family centered focus.

Nemours Children's Health is seeking a board certified/board eligible Pediatric Emergency Medicine physician with an academic interest in clinical or translational research to join our dynamic, close-knit group at the Nemours Children's Hospital, Delaware (NCH-DE) in Wilmington, DE.
The Division of Emergency Medicine consists of a team of 23 PEM trained physicians, 7 general pediatricians, 7 fellows, 10 Physician Assistants and a Nurse Practitioner.
The team cares for approximately 58,000 patients a year in our 44-bed state of the art facility that opened in 2014 as part of a major expansion of the hospital.The Nemours Emergency Department is also home to a 6-bed behavioral health unit that opened in 2023 and shares oversight and staffing with psychiatry to better serve our patients requiring psychiatric care.
NCH-DE is a multi-specialty pediatric hospital and is the only ACS certified pediatric Level I trauma center in the state.
We have a large catchment area, including all of DE, as well as surrounding states including PA, NJ, and MD.
The Division has an expanding research emphasis and team members are active in research and quality improvement.
We are a member of the GLACiER node of PECARN, and are actively involved in multi-center studies, both within and outside PECARN.

This position is a Monday to Friday, 8 am to 4:30 pm, with flexibility depending on regulatory requirements.
There is a weekend rotation every 4 weeks (once a month).
The Quality Assurance Lead Pharmacy Technician, in concert with Pharmacy Leadership, provides input and technical expertise in the planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of pharmacy systems to ensure the integrity, adherence, and safety of the services provided by the department.
This position directly affects the Pharmacy Department's ability to comply with all relevant regulations and develop, maintain, and coordinate quality and safety programs.
* Carries out rules and regulations pertaining to the pharmacy department's professional policies and ensures compliance with State and Federal regulations.
* Conduct environmental and personnel sampling components of the overall quality management program for sterile compounding as outlined by regulatory bodies and USP 797, including but not limited to:
+ Gloved Fingertip Sampling (GFS)
+ Media-Fill Testing (MFT)
+ Viable air sampling (VAS), and
+ Environmental Surface Sampling (SS)
* Ensures that the sterile compounding environments and personnel work practices reflect relevant regulatory requirements and current pharmacy practice standards
