The County of Riverside - Riverside University Health System (RUHS)-Medical Center is seeking to fill a Pharmacy Technician II-Per Diem position for the Procurement Unit, located in Moreno Valley.
Under the direction of the pharmacist staff, incumbents assigned to this class are responsible to help in the preparation and distribution of medications; and to do other related work as required.
This is the journey level class in the Pharmacy Technician series.
Under the guidance and supervision of the pharmacists, the technicians are responsible for the majority of the medication distribution and processing of prescriptions and medication orders.
Other essential duties incude but are not limited to the following:
* Ordering medications/supplies.
* Putting medications away when orders are delivered.
* Reconciling invoices.

* Performing or assisting with routine maintenance of turbines, pumps such as bearing and mechanical seal replacements, alignments, couplings, sumps, fans, drain piping modifications, etc.
* Perform routine maintenance on 2400/4160 vac electric motors from 500-5000 hp including medium voltage switchgear and Toshiba VFD.
* Maintain and operate custody transfer measurement facilities and perform product quality control tests.
* Maintenance on other mechanical equipment such as block valves, control valves, air compressors, valve actuators (electric and manual), etc.
* Assist with replacement of turbines, pumps, motors, valves, and other equipment as needed.
* Participate and successfully complete training programs, process safety management reviews, and safety meetings required to comply with state and federal regulations.

The Lead Material Handler is responsible for recommending, implementing, and enforcing controls that insure the accurate and timely accounting for all activities related to warehouse/inventory management.
