Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Correctly identify the party from which the medical records were submitted.
- Ensure correct documents are provided to the physician reviewer and submit assigned reports accurately and timely.
- Examine case file to ensure all relevant information has been submitted.
- Review documents to determine completeness and eligibility and report identified errors appropriately and timely.
- Correctly identify non-medical records and make appropriate decision on the need for further review of these documents.
- Index hundreds of pages of medical records completely, accurately, and efficiently.

Minimum Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent required; Associate degree preferred.
- 4 to 6 years of related experience required.
- Medical-related experience preferred.
- Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in medical records, document management, data processing, records indexing, quality assurance, quality control, or a related administrative operations environment.
- Experience reviewing, organizing, indexing, or maintaining large volumes of records with a high degree of accuracy.
- Experience working in production-based environments with established productivity and quality standards.
- Proficiency using computer systems and databases, including experience with electronic record keeping systems.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify data discrepancies or documentation errors.
Preferred Requirements:
- 6 or more years of relevant experience in medical records, health information management, or related records processing functions.
- Experience reviewing and processing medical records, healthcare documentation, insurance records, or other regulated documentation.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and healthcare documentation practices.
- Experience performing quality control (QC) and/or quality assurance (QA) reviews.
