A little taste of your day-to-day
As a Duty Manager, you'll be a visible and proactive presence throughout the hotel, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations while delivering warm and efficient service.
During the pre-opening phase and beyond, your responsibilities will include:
Supporting the Front Office Manager in establishing operating procedures and service standards across front office operations.
Acting as the primary point of contact for guests and team members across all departments during your shift, handling issues with a proactive, guest-first mindset.
Managing the daily operation of the hotel in the absence of senior leadership, ensuring seamless coordination between front office, housekeeping, maintenance and food & beverage.
Assisting with recruitment, onboarding, and training of front office and guest service team members as part of the pre-opening phase.
Supporting the implementation and testing of systems such as the Property Management System (PMS) and other hotel platforms.
Conducting floor walks, monitoring guest satisfaction, resolving complaints, and ensuring operational standards are upheld at all times.
Promoting IHG programs and loyalty initiatives, contributing to revenue growth and guest retention.

Previous experience in a Duty Manager or senior front office role within a premium or upscale hotel environment (pre-opening experience highly regarded).
