The Mechanical Specialist provides daily support resolving mechanical issues.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Perform alignment of rotating equipment either with dial indicators or laser equipment.
* Check pipe strain on equipment and instruct maintenance staff or contractors in regards to correcting issues found.
* Troubleshoot pump mechanical seal; reciprocating gas compressor; natural gas engine performance; and centrifugal pump vibrations and performance issues.
* NGL fractionation, natural gas production & processing, NGL and natural gas storage and pipeline systems knowledge.
* Install, maintain, repair and troubleshoot rotating equipment including: natural gas and diesel reciprocating engines; natural gas and steam turbines; centrifugal, reciprocating & axial flow compressors and pumps; blowers; fans; expanders; electric motors; and generators.
* Perform shop inspections on mechanical equipment being repaired and detail the scope of work.
