As a Product Design Engineer, you will be responsible to design, model, analyze, characterize high-speed connectors, cables, and systems within our Copper Solutions enterprise division team.
In this role you will provide technical expertise in connector, cable design for the exponentially growing data storage systems and telecommunications market.

The Electrical Project Manager is responsible for capital project development and execution, facility electrical infrastructure, and technical support for maintenance on electrical issues.
This position reports to Project Engineering Group Leader and is part of a team of 5 engineers across various disciplines including mechanical, electrical, and civil.
Travel requirements are minimal (1 to 3 times per year).

The Big Island Paper Mill
The mill produces the paper used to make boxes.
Half of the production is made from 100% recycle fiber and the other half uses about 25% recycle fiber.
In 2015, a $50 million upgrade enabled the production of a higher return product.
The mill employs about 330 people; about 90 are salaried, of which many are degreed engineers.
The engineering department consists of Project (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical), Process (Paper Science/Chem E), and Process Controls (Electrical, IT, & Chem E) engineers.

Project Management
* Provide constructability input into the engineering design.
* Review all electrical design documentation and provide input on any errors or deficiencies.
* Provide input on electrical project schedules.
* Be a safety advocate for all project phases and participate in risk identification and mitigation-planning activities.
* Help manage electrical construction activity.
* Advise on and track field changes and associated costs on electrical construction packages.
* Ensure all changes are properly reviewed and advanced through document control.
