Position Overview
Nemours Children's Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) II - Cardiology for our Pediatric Specialty Care Office in Pensacola, FL.
The RN II - Cardiology is responsible for providing and coordinating nursing care to the pediatric population and collaborating with other professionals on an institutional, community, state and national level.
Primary Responsibilities
* Performing complete and accurate patient assessment or reassessment.
* Patient flow of clinic to include obtaining vital signs, capturing and entering patient information into the EMR, performance of basic laboratory tests and entering results in EMR.
* Collecting and preparing laboratory specimens, in office testing, and rooming patients.
* Ensure provider's orders are carried out and assists provider with procedures as necessary.
* Familiar with pharmacokinetics, contraindications, side effects, mode of administration of all medications provider prescribes.
* Facilitates medication authorization and handles telephone calls with documentation in EMR.
Qualifications
* Associate degree in Nursing required
* BSN Preferred
* Experience in Cardiology AND/OR Pediatrics highly preferred
* Current BLS certificate through American Heart Association required.
* Current licensure in Florida as Registered Nurse required.
