Position Summary
As a Maintenance Assistant, you will support the day-to-day maintenance operations of the facility, helping ensure a safe, clean, and well-maintained environment for residents and staff.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform general maintenance and repair tasks (electrical, plumbing, carpentry, etc.)
* Ensure facility equipment and systems are functioning properly
* Complete routine inspections and preventative maintenance tasks
* Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff and residents
* Maintain a safe and compliant environment in accordance with regulations
* Assist with groundskeeping and facility upkeep as needed
Qualifications
* General "jack-of-all-trades" maintenance experience required
* Maintenance experience in a healthcare setting preferred
* Compassion and respect for the elderly and medically fragile population
* Strong communication and problem-solving skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Willingness to complete a background check
