Public Defenders provide legal representation for indigent persons at Summary Hearings, Preliminary Hearings, Mental Health Hearings, State Parole Violation Hearings, Appeals, Juvenile Court, and the Court of Common Pleas (misdemeanors through major felonies, including homicides and death penalty cases).

Typical shift as a bank Support Worker
* Based at Allerdale rough sleeper/Whitehaven move on service.
* There is lots for you to do and get involved in, from assisting customers with their practical, daily living tasks to working through support plans, helping them to achieve independence.
* One shift you might be making sure you’re available for overnight support, the next you might be working the day shift and enjoying fish and chips by the sea with your customer.
* You’ll be helping our vulnerable customers in a variety of services.
* You might find yourself working in accommodation-based services, a registered care home or supporting our customers in a community or home-based setting.
* Completing support sessions, daily check in's and customer involvement sessions.

You bring
* Enjoyment working with a range of customers.

You’ll join our wider services in Cumbria region, and the great thing is you can pick up shifts in any of these services that need it! Currently we have hours available in our Workington and Whitehaven services with our managers James & Joanna.
